Advene 3.15, the corpus release
Posted on Wed 08 January 2025 in articles
Advene 3.15 is released, for all supported platforms: Linux, Windows and MacOS X. The biggest change in this release is template integration and the corpus management features, that facilitate manipulation of multiple packages. This development has been carried out thanks to funding from the LARSH laboratory (UPHF) in order to instrument the REMIND method.
The new corpus management features offer facilities to deal with multiple packages. You can save/load a set of packages, and execute actions on the total available data, such as exporting as a website or to a Xlsx format, or executing global actions such as search/replace on annotations or merging a template package. More explanations can be found in the documentation
In addition, 2 templates are now directly proposed in Advene, with annotation structures and visualization dedicated to methods that have been using Advene: REMIND, a method for making sense of visitors’ sense-making experiences and AdA, that provides a machine-readable Film Analysis Vocabulary for Video Annotation.
The table view has also been improved, and now proposes to dynamically filter results, to dynamically reorder columns, and to export data to CSV through an icon (it was a bit hidden in previous releases).
