Advene 3.11 is released!

Advene 3.11 is released. The major news for this release is its availability as a Debian/Ubuntu package, but also as a Windows installer, thanks to financial support from the junior research group “Audio-visual rhetorics of affect” situated at Freie Universität Berlin and the Hasso-Plattner-Institute for Digital Engineering, funded by the federal ministry of education and research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung – BMBF).
For the anecdote, the version number for this release is coincidentally 3.11, which happens to also be the last major release of the Windows 3 series, which Linux had already commemorated in 2013 by using the nickname Linux for Workgroups for Linux 3.11. This Advene release is then nicknamed (at least for those who read the release notes) Advene for Workgroups.
Apart from the usual bug fixes, the major changes in this release are related to the import/export features, with new advene_import and advene_export command-line programs, aimed at automating import and export to/from Advene, and the definition of a more solid import and export internal framework.
